LUCIANO CANDISANI GALERIAS

During the end of dry season in the Pantanal wetland , Caimans ( Caiman yacare) concentrate in huge numbers along of the last remaining lakes still with fish. In these densely populated ponds they wait for the first rains of the wet season to start mating. The picture shows a lake located in a remote area of Northern Pantanal, Mato Grosso state, Brazil. It was at november and the rains were just starting. I've used a long exposure for the natural light. For the foreground and eyes I fired strobes in the end of the exposure. A continuos light next to the trees. Caimans are really static when they are thermoregulating. There was also a bright moon behind of the clouds.
